Hi folks,
My wife and I are heading over to Henry's Lake tommorow AM, and Curt was kind enough to recently suggest that if the wind is nasty on Henry's, you can fish Trudes Bay on Island Park. The trouble is, I can't find a map on the internet that shows Trude(s)? Bay. If we put our boat in at the dam, could one of you be kind enough to give us some instructions as how to find this spot from that ramp? Also, is it a large bay, and are the fish concentrated in one part of it? Any help would be appreciated. It has been 30 years since I last fished I.P. Wow, that's too long!!! Mike

Hi Mike , Curt again . After you launch go to the center of the channel and turn left . Stay in the middle as there are gravel bars all the way out to where I am sending you . On your way out you will see the Dam on the left and then Bills Island on your right . Stay in the middle of the channel until you are out to the main channel about three miles , TURN LEFT . If you turn right it will take you up the river channel to McCrea's Bridge . Stay in the middle of the lake for about 2.5 miles and turn right into Trudes Bay . I sent a picture I hope this works . If it did you will see the ranch house . The fish can be anywhere from just starting into the bay all the way to the back . A good fish finder will help you find them . Thanks Curt G.

Thanks again Curt. You are most generous in sharing info. If you ever need info on my side of the state, you know where to go. Mike P.S.: the pic will be most helpful.

I will be over to Henry's Friday morning around 10:00 AM . I will be in a Thompson inboard outbourd 18' long . If you see me say Hi . I will be along the cliff about half way down and 150 yards out . This is a picture of me and a fish I caught there last Thursday .

Will do for sure, if fishing that day. We are going to fish H this afternoon, wind willing, and either Thurs. or Friday, depending on which day looks best. The weather report cranks up the wind forecast each day. Wind at Henry's--who'd figure?!
