I was down in Salt Lake City at meetings on the last day of the muzzleloader deer hunt. The meeting got out about 2:30 and I pointed the truck towards home. I was home about 5:30 and was hunting by 5:45. Well with about 20 minutes of light left and while hiking back towards the truck I saw four bucks and was able to kill this pretty 3 pointer with one shot from my .50cal with a 295grain Powerbelt bullet in front of 90 grains of FFg black powder. By the time I dressed it and drug it out it was getting dark. What a nice way to end the season!

That is a nice 3 bagger. Sounds like it was an eleventh hour harvest! That deer behind you doesn't look to spooked to have a buddy goin' in the freezer[Wink]
