Sunday, 10/12/08- Hit the water early (5am). Forty nine degrees with a light breeze at the boat ramp when we lanched.
Made the run to Las Vegas Wash in the dark, started looking for shad. Filled the live well as the sun came up and headed for the channel. Before we had the chance to soak live bait the birds started showing us where the stripers were. We would follow stripers to the shoreline tossing bucktail jigs next to the shore and ripping them back to the boat. It seemed like we worked every cove from Vegas Wash to Gov't Wash. The action was steady enough to keep us casting until 10:30. Never used the shad.

Twenty stripers and one Talapia made it into the box today.

Nice cool day on the water! Off the water by 11:15.

No top water spooks or poppers or swimbaits or jigs or lipless cranks today. It was all bucktails!
