The Mrs got her first deer this morning. Another "field buck" LOL! She was going to just try and kill a spike or 2pt for meat but this one happend to show its self first. It was pretty cool to see her kill her first deer, 3 point in full velvet!! When I went to clean it I noticed it had no NUTS wow that was weird!! Probably why it had not rubbed yet?

We saw two fork horns (deer) during the elk hunt that were still in velvet. About 20 years ago I killed a decent 4 point around the 3rd week in Oct that looked like an early Sept. buck ?
