I have noticed that many people have been having success trolling with lures recently up at the Berry, such as the Lucky Craft 78. I am going up this weekend and plan on trolling a lure from my float tube, so can you guys just give me some recommendations on what to buy, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Also a report from myself. I headed up Saturday morning and got on the water around 7:30AM at Chicken Creek West. We ended up catching 9 and lost 2 right in front of the tube. We caught two small rainbows and the rest were Cutty's in the slot limit. We were mainly trolling worms.

Lucky crafts are better casted and retrieved then trolled but they work well trolling to.

The cutts up there aren't picky. We usually do best with gold/orange colored minnow imitating lures that stay shallow in the water column. We fish these early morning. Once the sun comes up, we switch over to tubes in the weeds.

Hopefully others will chirp in with their lucky lures.

If you are going to be in a float tube - you might try a ginger colored zonker & add just a little meat on it for flavor. After the wind came up last saturday, this zonker worked better than the LC pointers - at least for me.

In the fall I always do well on a purple egg sucking leech, but leeches in black kill 'em all year round! With lures, a gold jakes always seems to bring in fish
