I have an eagle fishmark 320 and need to order an extra transducer for the upcoming ice fishing season. My question is should I get the ice transducer or the regular one? I used the regular transom mount one last year using the pvc pipe method and that worked fine for me. is it worth the extra cost and will there be any difference? I just don't want to take the one I have off of the boat. So what do you all think?

For the money I stick with a regular transducer I got eagle cuda rigged probably the same way a T shaped pvc pipes to be honest I dont think it made a difference on the ice.

It's up to you, but the 320 puck transducer fits very nicely on the end of schedule 40 1" PVC pipe. Put that in a T fitting and you are set. I think that you can buy the transducer in Sportsmans for $40. Or, check Cabelas bargain cave, they often have pucks in there too.
The $40 puck doesn't come with the temperature sensor built in like the transom mount one. BUT, it's ice.. the water is freezing, what more do you need to know. It is annoying to take a ducer off the boat every year. So, ask yourself. "For $40 bucks and 3-4 months of fishing, do I want to never have to take that ducer off again?"
