Hey Javnfish,
You can never go wrong with Mead. I'm a big fan of the AZ side of Mead, i.e., Temple Bar Marina, but there's plenty of good fishing on the NV side. A lot of the posters on this site fish in or near the Boulder Basin so they'll be able to give you some good suggestions. Will you be fishing from a boat or shore?
Best regards,
Paul

You might have a difficult time finding stripers on the fly, unless you have the gear to get down deep. As far as I know, the surface action has faded into the fall, and people are catching stripers with jigs, cut bait (like frozen shad and sardines) and live shad down to 120 feet or more. You might have more success fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass on the fly. This time of year, the bass fishing can be phenomenal if you can find them, as the bass are fattening themselves up for the winter. Look for structure like big chunk rock and boulders in 15 to 35 foot deep water, and throw threadfin shad imitators, crawdad imitators, or big leech style streamers. A black or purple streamer can rack up good numbers at times. The fish are mainly feeding on roaming schools of shad, so be on the move if you aren't finding fish. Stay active, and you should do well. Good luck, I'd like to see a report after your trip!
