I don't post here much, but wanted to let you all know what has been working for me up at Scofield the last couple weeks. The first trip my wife and I took the two girls ages 5 and 3 and fished from the shore for about 3hrs in the evening and ended up with 7 tigers all around 14" or so, some pretty colors on some too. The other trip went with a neighbor out on my little boat and caught a mixed bag 3 tigers, 1 cutt, and 3 bows fishing in the morning around the island. Both trips all the tigers were caught on a LC pointer minnow 65 casted along the shore line. The rest of the fish were on a simple worm/mallow rig. I'll tell you what, I didn't really think those luckys were all they are cracked up to be, but the tigers really seem to love em. And the cool thing about that pointer minnow is how easy it is to use, both my daughters caught fish with me just casting out and them awkwardly reeling in. [] Good stuff. Here's some pics, enjoy!
