Saturday, 10/25/08- Hit the water early (5:30am).

An ice chest of nice stripers, caught in the deep waters off of Sand Island.

This is how it began:

Tossing a net in the dark, shallow waters of a cove near what is left of Las Vegas Wash.

As the sun came up we looked up and down the channel for top water action. None happened. Ended up off Sand Island.

Sent shad down past 100 feet. Used the trolling motor to stay over fish. Action was steady.

What a great day! Off the water by 1:00 pm.

Think I saw you out there on Sunday. I was out with a friend on his boat. We mostly went exploring for top water action found no boils but we ended up with about 20 for our efforts. Great weekend to be out on the water!!!

Boy was it a great weekend on the water! Perfect conditions. Went back out on Sunday for another great day. I hope this coming weekend is just as productive. I can't wait!
