In my latest issue of Fly Rod and Reel, they had some new gear. This one caught my eye. NRS GigBob Pontoon Boat. They are pushing the fact it is FRAMELESS and rolls up. HELLO! NFO has them beat!
It is like 840 denier nylon cover, weighs like 48 lbs. folds up into it's provided bag which is 25 X 21 X 10 and is 8'. They are saying it can hold 6 lbs of air pressure. Comes with oars and 15 sq. feet of storage......price.........$1,595.

There's so much skin there he'd have to appy Rogaine with a spray gun.

Looks like a nice craft but for over $1,500 I think i would much rather put the money into a Dave Scadden pontoon!!!

It appears that the materials are in the ball park of quality requirements. That is a rather heavy craft too for being frameless. [pirate]

I think the weight is all the hardware, like the deck, the foot pegs and the oar holders. I think they are trying to target the COMPACT size. For them VW drivers....LOL

Price wise, I see all the upper end boats heading that direction. But, they do last!
