Fishing Forum

Decided to try another spot on SFC. I was still looking for some eye's but the trout were all I could get to play. 1 17" (2.5#) and another 16". Water temp was 40.1 warming to 42. Air temp was below freezing as there was ice forming in the eye's of my rod. Fished from 7:30am to12pm. Caught both on a jig with a worm and was in12' or less water.

Well, that PRO thing counts me out[laugh][laugh] I only fish to have a good time and from what I have learned about you Idahopanfish, I would have a blast fishing beside you.
I know what you mean about the picture while holding fish. I would love Shigs set-up, but no go with my camera. Sometimes the fish are so dang slippery like the ones this weekend, and they were wiggly. A shot at the net was about all I could manage.
I love hearing your stories. The lake looks like a cross between Chesterfield and Ririe.

I do hope that sometime we can have an outing down here at SFC. Td has talked about next year, so I hope it all comes together one of these days.

I have only fished Henry's once and missed the action by a week, it was way hot when I was there 2 years ago now. Came up with the Magic Valley Fly Fishermen. Definetly would like to work that lake over.

I also hope to check out the Preston area and all the panfish action over there and maybe this year I'll make it to the Devil's Creek Ice Fishing Derby in Jan. If not I will be in Challis the next weekend for a Men's Advance and maybe will be able to Ice fish Mackay for some "kokes".

Anyways it would be nice to meet and fish with you guys when it works out.
