I've only lived in Utah for a little while, and I've taken my girlfriend out fishing a couple of times lately and have gotten skunked. I don't want her to question the validity of my manly skills, so it would be nice to obtain the advice of some seasoned anglers about where to go and how to fish the area. This coming weekend I'll be around the Rockport, Echo, East Canyon, Little Dell area and was wondering about these reservoirs. All help would be appreciated (especially by my ego). Also, I don't have a boat. Thanks

You need to use the search option and look at recent posts on the lakes in question. I believe that the only that one that has had a favorable post lately is E. Canyon.

[#000000]I am happy to read that you think fishing is a measure of your manliness [Wink], now lets just see where that will take you with hour gal? [laugh][/#000000]

[#000000]I wouldn't think that at this time of year you would have any problems catching a few fish by the East Canyon Res. Dam. Just cast and sink 1-3 inch spoons or tube jigs tipped with worms and scent. [/#000000]

Thanks, I really appreciate the tips. Coming from the warmth of Georgia, I definitely have a learning curve to overcome with Utah fishing. If ya need to know how to fill your frying pan or catch a trophy in the south, I can help you there. [Wink]

I have been fishing a lot lately at East Canyon and have been doing really well. I have been fishing from a boat but I have heard that bank fisherman have also been doing well using power bait. Good Luck.
