I need to upgrade my cell service to a more robust plan. I know that there are some members of BFT who sell cellular service, so I thought that I would give one of them first chance to earn a buck or two, before I walk into the nearest T-Mobile store.

Kent,

T-mobile has full service up there now. I have T-mobile and get full bars up there. Just another option for you.

Verizon is the worst carrier i have ever had. T-Mobile walks circles around them.[crazy]

I have been pleased with Verizon; however, up until now my needs haven't been that difficult to meet. I would consider switching to T-Mobile if it is a superior provider.

Kent, i would not say what i did if it wasn't true. I have T-Mobile(personal phone) and Verizon(work Phone) side by side 5 or 6 days a week. T_mobile will hold a call from Preston ID to Roy and never skip a beat. Verizon will drop the call twice through Logan, 3 or 4 times over Sardine Canyon, and twice near Willard with a few pauses thrown in for good measure. I also loose service in Weber canyon and Ogden Canyon. I get T-Mobile at the Berry just fine and i also get it at the Gorge and many other places Verizon fails me. I am sure others have the same luck.[Wink]

My statement wasn't meant to challenge or question you. My intent was to state that I am not married to Verizon, so if T_Mobile is superior I will not hesitate to switch to them. Now would be a great time to do so while I am upgrading my service.

I didn't take it as a challenge. I just said i was telling the truth. Maybe ask on the off-topic board about the pros and cons and see what you think.[cool]

Kent,
I've got t-mobile and love it. We changed from AT&T over two years ago and never looked back. Before you go into the store, go to the t-mobile website. We signed up via the website and got an upgraded phone for free, compared to what they were offering in the t-mobile store. Plus we got more minutes for the same rate. If you're not in a huge hurry, the wait a couple of weeks and just before Christmas they offer some awesome deals on their on-line store. This is where we got my daughter phone. Their customer service is great too! Don't hesitate to call the 1-800 number and ask questions. They will sell you one over the phone, but typically are very up-front and tell you to visit the website for a better deal. We have 1,400 minutes/month, unlimited night/weekend with no roaming and pay $39.95. We don't do the text thing, but my kid does and she get unlimited texts for $14.99/month. Dang, after all that, I should work for t-mobile!!!

Verizon's new logo should be "YOUR NOT GOOD" and have a bunch of drunk, disorderly people standing behind the guy in the mechanics coat.[sly]

I've had T-Mobile for 5 years and its been good, I just told qwest to disconnect my home line in order to go with T-Mobiles $10 add-a-line, for home phone service. all you need is a router, which can be purchased for $50, broadband internet and have an account with them. My son now has wireless high speed internet on his lap top through out the house and I'll be saving about $50 a month.

I've thought once or twice to switching to Verizon because of non-service up at Strawberry. I've had a family plan with Tmobile for 5+ years and have been happy with them. I'm a happier Tmobile customer these days now that they've expanded their coverage to Strawberry.
