Hey guys, I'm ordering a fish finder for my boat before the weekend is over. But I'm not sure which one I want!
The choices are:
Lowrance x510c w transom mount for $350[/b]
(Sonar only, no speed, temp, or gps)[/b]
5" 480x480[/b]
[/b]
Humminbird 383c w transom mount for $330[/b]
3.5" screen 320x240[/b]
(Sonar, Gps, Speed, Temp included)[/b]
The difference is only $20, but it appears that the Humminbird screen doesn't display much of the actual sonar, but instead mostly GPS information.
While on the other hand, the Lowrance screen is an entire sonar display.
I love the thought of having the speed, and water temp included. However, I think the larger sonar would be used more often than the two statistics.
If anyone owns these units please let me know what you think. Also if anyone knows if the Humminbird has multiple screens, (aka I could maximize the sonar view to full screen) please let me know as well.
Thanks in advance guys. I'M COUNTING ON YOUR HELP!
