Hi everyone,
Back from my 3 day houseboat trip during Thanksgiving.
We arrived at Temple Bar Marina about 5 in the morning on Thanksgiving. Some rain and heavy fog. Left the marina on a 50 foot houseboat around 10. Good amount of rain throughout the day, but stopped before dusk.
Anchored in my favorite fishing spot at Delmar Butte. My fiance, her niece and I fished for a few hours and filled 2 buckets full of stripers. Most were in the pound range with a few 3-4 lbers. Kept only the smaller ones. Filleted enough stripers to know that the "razorbacks" and large stripers have some weird texture to the meat. Night was relatively clear with some clouds but no wind, which made for excellent fishing conditions at night. Otherwise, it would get too cold.
We stayed in the same spot, and started fishing an hour before sunset because we wanted to hang out by the bonfire on our last night. Fished for only a few hours again, but managed to nearly fill up two buckets again.
Took some nice pics, and will post them shortly. First, I have to find out how to post the pics (inline) so I can write a brief description under each pic. Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving.
Best regards,
Paul
