FLIPPIN, Arkansas - Following another enormously successful tournament year for Ranger Boats walleye pros in all levels of competition, Ranger Boats recently presented cash awards to the Top 10 finishers in the Ranger Cup Walleye point standings. The contingency program rewards Ranger owners for their successes on the water and for their continued loyalty to Ranger Boats.
This year, Ranger Cup Awards went to the Top 10 finishers in the point standings for walleye anglers fishing either FLW Walleye Tour or PWT tournament trails. Anglers walked away with Ranger Cup money as well as bonus money from the "Powered by Evinrude" and "Powered by Yamaha" contingency programs that reward anglers for fishing from Ranger boats powered by Evinrude and Yamaha outboards.
A total of $43,000 in Ranger Cup bonus money combined with Evinrude and Yamaha contingency awards were presented to the 2008 Ranger Cup winners, as well as a new, 2009 Ranger 620VS powered by a 250-hp Yamaha outboard. The boat was awarded to first-place finisher Dan Stier for his tournament success in 2008 while fishing the PWT. Stier also netted an additional $750 in Ranger Cup money and $375 from Yamaha for his finishing tied for 10th in the final standings following a successful year on the FLW Walleye Tour.

The Ranger Cup program awards points to anglers who compete out of Ranger boats during qualifying tournaments. A maximum of 50 points is awarded to Ranger owners for a first-place finish, with point totals decreased by one point for each finishing position. To qualify for the Ranger Cup program, anglers registered in the program must fish from a Ranger boat during all qualifying tournaments, meet clothing requirements and properly display the Ranger Cup decal on their boat.
