I got a new Durango rod, 6'6'' medium action and a Shakespeare Tidewater baitcasting reel that I will just be using for Catfishing. I had a 12lb blue cat strip out my old cat reel last fall (shakespeare baitcasting SKP 2000c).

I just luv to hate when that happens....

I once lost a reel to a pike I never saw. and got a second degree line burn to boot.... "not last year"

and the best thing about it was I had two witnesses in my boat when it happened...[cool]
