Hi everyone Im moving to St. George and have a feeling that the only place close to fly fish for trout is in the Boulder Mountains. Is there anywhere closer to wet a fly???

Every month it seems we go over fishing in SW Utah. Look back at posts from early Oct and Nov. Check out

for a good listing. Lee's Ferry on the Colorado in Arizona is also a good tailwater that I think is best fished during the cooler half of the year. Some of the lower elevation places offer good winter fishing and plenty of solitude if you don't mind catching mostly smaller trout.

Your best option is to start flyfishing for bass. That's what I do when I go down there. It's a blast.

There are some fishing spots down there, e-mail me and I will tell you some I used to hit down there for trout...

Moving from the Wasatch Front, eh? Sorry -- couldn't help the jab...
St. George is surrounded by trout streams and lakes. Just to mention a few:
Kolob Reservoir
Baker Reservoir
Enterprise Reservoir
Navajo Lake
