awesome looking ties CK.. can you give us a recipe on them..

now.. I am the novice tyer here so I have to ask.. you say they are 32nd to 100th ounce .. does that equate to a specific hook size??

another question on this.. I have a load of jig heads that look like what you posted when I bought a pan fish set up from BPS years ago.. could I use those jig heads to make flies like this??

To answer.....

Those are 80th oz next to the dime.
All hooks are live bait style...no barb at the collar.

I'll use #6 in the 32nd,a #8 in the 64th and a # 10 in the 80th and 100th.
I used to use a #12 in the 100th but it was too flimsey and resulted in many short strikes.

The paint is powder in glow.
I use 6/0 prewaxed monocord and glued with Umpqua's head cement.
This ensures that it will last out to 1000 fish or better.

The hair is kiptail.

10 wraps on the 1st color and 20 wraps on the second with 3 half hitches.trim and glue.

Here's the 4 main sizes I'll use depending on the agrresiveness of the slabs.

I have 20 patterns...here's a few..
