Headed up to Deep Creek Friday with my father-in-law. Fished from 11-3. Fishing was steady all day, rainbows between 12-17 inches, caught 18 kept the ones in the pic for dinner. Caught most of them off jigs tipped with mealworm or waxies. People fishing around did about as good using power bait. Ice was about 5 inches think, only had to drill one hole, since the lake is starting to look like swiss cheese.

BTW always keep the augers blade gaurd on and the auger away from your father-in-law.
Nice cut. How many stitches did it take and with what pound test? [Wink]

I tried super glue.....doesn't work like I herd it does. It opened back up after 15 minutes, so I headed over to urgent care. Two hours and 5 stitches later I was good as new.

I hate going to the doctor for stuff like that...takes way to much time to get fixed up in 5 minutes.[Wink]
Nice report. I'm guessin' if the lake looked like swiss cheese, you fished the west side. How was the road in? I never got the chance to check it out this weekend.

Yeah, I was on the west side by the dam, the road in was fine for a 4x4. Otherwise you'll need to walk in from the road.
Wow! Nice cut. I guess I better go find a new gaurd for my auger I just broke mine.

The super glue will work on "minor" cuts. The one you had was deep enough and had opened up wide enough it won't work. If you super glued it then steristripped it it might have worked. Oh well. At least you got some good fishing in though. Just need to keep your guard on your auger next time =)

I tried using butterfly bandages to hold it closed, while the glue dried, but even when the glue dried it didn't set to the skin. The doctor gave me look like I was an idiot for trying it... but I thought it was a pretty good idea. Instead of waiting around all day to see a doctor and give him my fishing money.....[cool] The fishing was great, I love that lake.
