my guess is they both started out on the negative side of fisherman in america. the brown became popular faster than the carp but the carp is becoming a respectable sport fish fast some compare fly fishing for them like fishing for fly fishing for red fish and bone fish.

Uh, well they are both predominantly farmed fish by percent of population, uh, both species only ever recover partially after caught and released, hmm, they both have fins ??
