Went out to the North end of Utah lake today. The bite was slow, but had some moments that kept us busy, then it would slow down again. For the day we got 10 bluegill, 4 white bass, 1 large mouth bass, 1 crappie, and 1 perch. I took my camera and got great pics of the sunrise but when I tried to take one of the fish the battery died. So sorry there are no pics of the fish this time. Can't wait to go again Ice fishing is the best.
ICE ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the report. Yeah somedays its been a little slow as far as the bite on this end of UL. I think maybe I'll hit the pond this afternoon and see whats what

Well I made the trip. Whities, Crappies, Gill's, no perch or LB's. Pretty much an equal enough of each but I didnt keep count.
I actually hit the pond this morning. The best bite came just before the sun hit the ice and for an hour or so afterwards. Things really slowed down by noon and at 2pm I iced a couple of gill then hit the trail for home.

about the dead battery on your camera. I've found that I have to keep the camera under all my layers to keep it warm. The cold really drains the battery. Glad you found the fish even without pictures.

I thought of that after it was to late. I put the camera inside my layers thinking if it warms up a bit, I may be able to get at least one pic of the fish, well no such luck. It did turn on but not long enough to get the pic. So I learned something that day. Note to everyone keep your camera warm.
