Been sitting here wishing the weekend was here and got to wondering with these temps lately and the forecast, how long will we have before the ice becomes unsafe? I have been fishing AF and I hope it will stay frozen for a while.
What do you all think?
I also want to hit Pali

es one of these days, anybody know how it's doing? Are the temps there staying below freezing?

I am headed to AF in the morning for a couple of hours before i go to work. I think the ice will hold because it has still been getting cold enough at night. But the thought has definitely crossed my mind as well.

Can you give us a report on ice thickness and what you have been catching . I did real well there last year , but have not heard any good reports this year . Thanks Curt G.

I think one should be careful every time you go out on the ice. Especially after or during a warm spell like we've been having. I think we still have some time before the ice comes off. Normally we should easily have to the end of Feb.

I've been out several times and fishing has been spotty. A couple of weeks ago I hit some jumbos just before dark (one 12" two 11"s two 10"s and a bunch 7"to9") haven't been able to find them since. Sportmans Park is where I've done the best, for me it's been real slow around the dam.
Ice has been good (6"to 11"). I don't know what it is now.
