Ice was good and solid, 11 inches where we fished. We did hit a couple of narrow slush spots (warm springs?) on the way over on the snowmobile. Only a couple of inches of snow on top of the ice which makes for great travel. We had our holes drilled by 8:15 and caught 15 or 16 between the two of us when we left at 1pm. Standard Strawberry gear (tube jigs and meal worms or wax worms, I left the minnows in the truck with the camera!) The four rainbows that went home for the grill seemed to prefer the mealies while the cutts went for the waxies. Anchovy smelly jelly was the preferred scent. Couldn't ask for a better day, not a cloud in the sky and no wind. All cutts were in the slot, a couple were FAT!! The colors on them were just gorgeous, sorry no photos. Beat the heck out of being at the office.

WormSlayer, what area did you hit, Haws point, the narrows? I fished east of the Marina last friday and only landed 5 cuts in the slot limit. Nice fish but slow action... Trying to decide if I'm going back Saturday or heading for East Canyon.... Point me in the right direction also how deep where you fishing.

East of the Ladders over by that cliff. I'm guessing in about 20 feet of water. My fish finder freaked out last Saturday over at the marina, said we were in 510 feet of water, started beeping like crazy and doing all kinds of weird things, so we fished blind.
