Ice conditions at Pineview are great. 10 to 12 inches throughout most of the reservoir.

Fishing has been off and on. Overall angling has been slow, but Saturday was the better day out of the long weekend thus far. Several crappies and perch were caught by multiple anglers. The best action being on the north side of cemetary point and along that shoreline. Browning point has yeilded some slow perch action. Sizes were variable, but some decent ones were pulled out. The narrows have not been productive. Several anglers in the area with few fish on the ice.

An assortment of flies, jigs, castmasters w/droppers were used generally tipped with waxies/mealworms, perch eyes, and perch meat. All had variable success, but the most successful bait appeared to be perch meat.

If action is what you are after, now is not the time to fish Pineview. Fish are catchable, however, if you are willing to move around and work for them.

Good luck, stay on top.

Appointed one.
