Well Kevin and i hit Yuba on Sunday to try and get the cobwebs out of my hookin arm, and we managed a few. We got to Oasis about 10-1030 ish and walked across the bay there to the other side to join the small city that had sprung up. Chatted with 4 boats for a while and found that the fishing was a little slow. we drilled and dropped out jiggs I hokked the first fish on a spoon tipped with a meal worm. After about an hour and we had two fish on the ice we moved a little deeper, After a little paitens and switching up to a dropshot rigg with a glow manic minnow tipped with a Waxxey I managed to put 4 more on the ice. We toatled 9 fish for the day 7 wer nice all agound that 12 inch make and bursting with eggs and than 1 at about 9-10 and the tiny one at 5-6.

We left at 3 talked to a few others and they said it had been very slow as well. I thought I saw Pikeman cruise by with the sting of sleds behind the wheeler. I hope you all did ok.

Sorry no pics I did not take the camera.

It's too bad we did not get a photo of that 2 pound, 16-inch perch we caught! Maybe next time! [Wink]

Is the whole lake safe ice for a wheeler?

Brody,

There was quite a few sleds and wheelers on the ice on the Oasis side. Pikeman went all the way over to the Narrows. 4boats also had his wheeler out there. There was maybe a couple soft spots across from the ramp (or so it appeared) but they are not hard to see. You should be good to go!

I have been all over the oasis side on my Polaris 700. Ice seems to be pretty safe.

Temps in the mornings have been just above 0 degrees that should keep the ice frozen.
