Yuba has plenty of them and good size ones too. The state record came from there. There are a few pike experts on here that might chime in with some advice.

Check your fishing proclamation it will list the current state records, where and when caught. One of our BFT members currently holds the state record for northern pike could have some thing to do with his BFT name.[:p]

Yuba, Redmond, and a couple other places have the Northerns you seek. A few of us chase the crap out of them too.
Tiger musky is also around in the state. Newton, Pineview, Johnsons, and some others I believe. Also chased by most of the Esox crew from here.

if you are looking for pike you should talk to PIKEMAN99 on BFT he is my dad and he had the state record for northern pike in 1999 but tell him matt sent you []
