Mantua was spotty as usual. A lot of people to the east but as the day wore on they started to break up and fan out. I didn't see to many catch a fish. One guy in our group got 9 perch (6 keepers) and one 12" bass. He was using a small jig silver on one side and yellow fading into chart on the other tipped with a wax worm. I use ww and perch meat to tip my jigs and I got a lot of light hits but they must have been small. We moved three times during the day. I only got two fish but as usual it was a good day and good company. Did have a guy come by and said he had been talking to a guy with a underwater camera and he told him the bottom was "lousy with small gills and perch". I figure there is so much food, they only have to eat for 10-15 minutes and they are full for the rest of the day....PV is the same.... ice is ATV and snowmobile thick.....
