Can anyone give me direction to these bodies of water near Rossevelt?
How is the access during the winter? What is the ice condition?

Thanks in advance...

I spent a ton of time on those two lakes as a kid, my aunt and uncle live less than 1/2 mile from Bullock, used to cliff jump at Cottonwood all the time

That should give you directions out of Roosevelt, and you should be able to zoom in a little further and get a better idea of where you need to turn.

If you have any questions PM me and I can walk you through it.

FYI, I have caught a LOT of fish out of there (mostly during the summer months) and they always tasted a little funny.

Also if memory serves they drained Cottonwood ( i believe) a year or 2 ago for some dam repairs.

If you really want to know I would be happy to call my uncle and find out for sure, just say the word.

Just take Highway 40 east from Roosevelt to the town of Gusher, which is 15 minutes from Vernal. There is a sign to the lakes in the middle of Gusher. Turn north at the signs and go approximately 5 miles and you will pull up on the Bullock dam. There is a road on the south side of Bullock that leads to Cottonwood. Cottonwood is one mile east of Bullock. Access is never an issue and they both have solid ice.

Cottonwood was drained 2 years in a row, but not all the way and the fish made it through. Both lakes have good populations of tiger musky, smallmouth and largemouth bass, green sunfish, black bullhead and white sucker. Bullock also gets regular plants of rainbow trout. FYI there was a 49" TM taken in Cottonwood in 07. Good luck
