Well my son and I made it.. The drive there was intense at times.. We hit the ice around 730 am.. Fished around the marina area.. The weather was not on our side.. We had wind Freezing rain,rain and more rain.. But fishing was good.. Between the two of us we landed 20 cuts.. No bows.. The biggest cut was around 24-25"??? But most of them were average in size. I didn't have a tape so you decide.. It's the picture # 5 next to the boot.. We used radical glow lite green tubes tipped with chub tails.. Green paddle bugs tipped with the same.. Fished in 25' of water.. we left around 4.. As the snow hit hard.. White out..
Oh ya the monster is out.. 12 inches of ice with 4" slush, 5" snow on top of that..

Well done Dave. Do I know where you fished? I have walked out of there after a snowstorm and that fresh snow makes pulling a sled a real pain.

Yes sir you do.. But the secret is safe.. I made my son close his eyes and I spun him in circles before we left.. He still thinks he was at bear lake..[sly][sly] Thanks kent
