WASHINGTON, Mo. - Steve Brigman's new book is now available through bassedge.com. "Somebody's Gotta Do It" is a collection of stories from an outdoor writing career that spans more than 20 years. With a mixture of adventure, humor and good storytelling, Brigman takes readers on safari, dog sledding and 100-mile river journeys.

"What a joy it was reliving these good times as we put this together," Brigman reminisced. "I must admit though, I felt a little older when I realized everything I'd done."

"We are thrilled to share Steve's most humorous and heartfelt writings about his experiences in the field," said Bass Edge President Don Hertz.

Hunters will sit alongside Brigman in a tree stand, duck blind and in the turkey woods, while anglers are treated to a healthful dose of fishing from Africa to Alaska. Beyond the adventure travel, Brigman also shares his witty take on the life of an outdoor writer on the homefront -- with his beloved wife and dog.

The book is illustrated by Duane Hada, the celebrated Ozark artist hailed by Brigman as the best fly fisherman he ever met.

Brigman has earned more than 50 writing and photography awards during his decades-long career as a newspaper reporter, editor and freelance outdoor writer. Besides hosting the weekly podcast "The Edge," he is producer of Bass Edge television, and editor of bassedge.com and "Inside Edge," the monthly e-newsletter of Bass Edge.
