It's hard to get on the ice with the rising water levels at Deer Creek. Waders will be a must until it freezes more.

The conditions at the berry are good ice is plenty thick for the fourwheelers or snow ma go's. This last storm dropped some snow but the wind will blow alot of it off. The fishing for me was a little slow. i caught fish in spurts. moved around alot but when i found them it was good for a little bit. I passed deer creek on the way to the berry and it looks a little spooky to me. I did see alot of people out there last sat.

I fished DC today. It was slow and the edges SUCKED! I'd go to the berry. Not even a questions. Lots of snow up there though so be prepared.

Weekend Warrior, you said you fished Deer Creek yesterday. Other than bad edges, where did you fish and how was the rest of the ice?

The ice was actually perfect when you got out past the edges. 6-8 inches of solid and a little snow on it for traction. We didnt mark harfly anything on the finder and the extreme cold made for quick freezing holes.

Do you think the snow will be to deep for 4 wheelers by sat? I know your not the weatherman, but this will be only my 2nd strawberry trip ever and I am clueless about the snow on that lake. Thanks!
