I assume that you mean the one up Fairview Canyon. One can always get there, because they keep the road plowed for the miners. Getting to the ice may be a major challenge because of deep snow and when you get to the ice be prepared to drill a long ways. Near the end of last winter I went up there and couldn't drill all the way through the ice with my power auger. I now own an extension for it just in case I encounter that opportunity again. we were at huntington on saturday for a couple of hours. the ice is two feet thick with a foot of snow on top, as of sat. There were snowmobiles and a wheeler on the lake. access is a little tough, but doable. the fishing was a little slow do to the machines roaring around. they seemed to disappear when the snowmobiles showed up. the parking is plowed so no problem there.
