Hit it again today in the approximate area where trout creek enters. Fished in about 15' of water. Thank the almighty for my ice shack. Man! It was cold today and the wind was pretty bad too. We parked @ the ladders & snowmobiled over to where we fished. We didn't do especially hot. I iced 5 & my partner 2. We both lost fish at the hole but the biggest blast was watching them on my fish TV. Found a tiny cut in the cable sheath that I'm sure that tiger in Pineview left, patched it with some RTV silicone & the thing worked like a champ all day today. They were pretty picky though with most of those cruising through only giving our offerings a cursory glance. They were more interested in the fish shaped camera, in fact a couple of them knocked it around a little. Those we did catch we had to coax to hit. I left a dead stick minnow about a foot off the bottom all day & only one fish showed any interest in it.

Way to go Tom, I was hoping to hit the Berry this weekend but I'm waiting for the repair on my auger shaft. Was there any slush on top of the ice?

I'am glad to here that the camera is working good and you are having fun using it. I was up there on the last holiday and the fishing was pretty much the same as you explained.

Re. slush monster @ the ladders area.
The SOB is still in hibernation. There is 6+" solid frozen slush and 12" or more of clear ice that's harder than the back of my head.

I"ve got to say, I sure love the camera. It is almost unfair. It can also be very frustrating to watch all the fish come up and just look at you bait and then turn away. It seems like when they are being aggressive and bumping your camera, that is when they are taking the bait.

I went up yesterday with some buddies and fished west of the marina. We just walked out. We watched fish all day just look at our offerings but the were pretty picky. We ended up catching 3 that were in the slot. The wind was blowing and it was nasty cold. It was 3 degrees when we left the truck. But the worse thing was about a foot of snow then breaking thru 3 inches of slush. I had a real nice pair of snowshoes. (At home) great day though.

can I use your camera at jordanelle tomorrow? just kidding I am thinkin about buying one though. what do you have. it seems to have somewhat of a clear picture to it. It feels like cheating but cheating is fun.

The camera is the Advanced Anglers 7" screen from cabellas. It is a fairly inexpensive camera , but for the money it works great as long as the water is clear. It is probably the best thing I have bought for ice fishing yet. I dont even use the fish finder any more. The camera tells you exactly where the fish are and more importantly if you are where the fish are at. You do have to have a tent to be able to see the screen though. It is almost impossible to see in daylight.
I use an old rod holder bracket cut in half with a slot cut on the outside to allow the camera cable to go through it and use the rubber ball that you get with the camera tripod from aquaview. Then rivet it on the chair to be able to control the camera very easly.
The reason that the picture is a little fuzzy is because I used my small didgital camera to take a picture of the screen. Almost everyone I fish with now own a camera.
