Hit Bear Lake again this past Saturday. Didn't find any mac's, but the cutthroat were sure aggressive. We ended up landing about 8 cuts, the biggest was caught by my father-in-law at 8lbs. I ended up pulling in a 4lb with another one of those cool maniac minnow jigs. The rest were in the 1-2 lb range. We were still catching cisco (about 20), but they were not as hot and heavy as the week before. Good Luck and Happy fishing.

You using the blue smoke? James gave me a few last fall. I better get up there. I would also like to know what size/kind of head you are rigging them with. You can pm me if you would like. Thanks.[cool]

Nice report Otis, sounds like a good day at the Bear, too bad no macks were caught but you more than made up for it with those nice cutts. Were you fishing on the West side or the East side of the lake? WH2

That is a pretty cutt! His spots remind me of kings! Sounds like a great day at the bear. Nice job thanks for the pics!

Much ice floating around?

Hey Ralph,
Not to highJack this thread but there was tons of ice out there last weekend. The wind usually clears it up but the risk is always there this time of year, as you well know. The boats that were being launched from the beach near the rock pile were doing ok but the east shore and the marina area had huge sheets floating about.

I know there was some folks on this forum that were wanting to know when these new 6" minnow's were going to be available. You can now buy them at Smith and Edwards or on the Maniac web site Good luck and good fishing!
