Hey guys, I've never tried ice fishing and am not sure if I dare. I really don't like the cold. Anyway, when does the berry usually thaw anyway?? Is it in March, or in April, or am I just dreaming.

My boat is Sad and misses the waves of the berry.

I'm itchin' for some fishin' and don't want to freeze.. So, when can I go fishing in water, not ice ??

Thanks,
Curtis

PS: I'm sure glad gas finally got cheeper.. Now it won't cost me $50 to drive to Strawberry...[Smile]

Depending on the weather it can be around april maybe even earlier but like i said it depends on the weather.

End of April, or the first part of May. Once ice off starts up there, it usually goes quick.

Why dont you just go to bear lake. I heard there isnt any ice and I take it you like the cutts. Bear lake is full of them.[cool] Or just go with bass rodds down to powell and try to catch some walleye or some stripers that would be fun![Smile]

A few years ago it was the beginning of April, it was in May last year. (can give specific dates once I get home) As was stated, it all just depends on temps, snowpack, etc and the year.
