Please dont take this photo that there is safe ice at bear lake cause there is alot of open water in fact I would say its 90% open water maybe Scott could have a more accurate say on that. and this ice I am on is only 1-2" thick and with todays storm it might break it up. Kinda a cool pic though might be tough launching boats from the shore at Sweetwater and all the way around that area. Kinda new to the site hope the pic uploads.

I saw one guy from Fishhaven, ID ice fishing about 60 yards off the marina yesterday! Thats nuts. The ice was about 1.5" when I yelled out to him. No way this big boy is walking on that thin stuff! Today it is 40 out and the wind came up. I'd say over 50% open water now, maybe more. Supposed to be cold next week, so who knows.....maybe with some calm conditions it will freeze?

It was more of a shuffle the feet than a walk on that stuff it was very slick [shocked]

I see you live in Laketown, your dog looks alot like my 2 1/2 year old Brittany, you probably know a good friend of mine up there " Mountain Man Taxidermy" one of the best in the West.[fishin]

Roger IS the best! He does the best elk and mulies I have ever seen. As you know he does all the ones for all the new Cablela's stores. Too bad they didn't find him a long time ago. He's not cheap, but his mounts are absolutely the best!

I met Him years ago when we both started doing some guiding on the DLL. half my tiving room was decorated by Roger. He'll tell you some stories about me but they are all lies LOL. When you see him tell him #18 says hi to 8 Ball.[:p]

Hello my friend,
Does your buddy do fish?I have a kok that I'd like to get done soon.

Rapalas put the big one on the wall.

No he mostly does big game, but another friend of mine does fish who lives in Syracuse has done my walleye, mac, and a pair of Yuba perch. He mounted the current Idaho state record walleye and the current Utah state record Wiper. His name is Dan Johnson and his buisness is Wilderness Taxidermy. [fishin]

That is a very cool photo, thanks for posting it. If the ice was a little safer I would be up there with skates on!

Thank you,I think the Idaho state walleye record was 17 and some odd pounds did that get beat?
I saw a dupicate of that walleye at a little store in salmon falls. What a dandy. That store had around 10 mounts including that fish that was caught out of that lake.I fished the lake and only caught pups but,I'm looking forward to getting back there this year.I'd like to take a walleye master with me.Someone that could show me the ropes.I'm a walleye rookie.

Even rookies catch fish with Rapalas.
