Hit Mantua with my church group. We caught perch, bass, trout, and bluegill. Trout and bass were hitting hard. Light bites on perch and bluegill. Must have missed 50 perch or blue gill for every one we hooked. Seemed like mantua is doing better than it has been though. Caught all my fish on gizzy bugs and spikes.

If I can get a couple "TO DO'S" done in the A.M. I will try it tomorrow, had to postpone the Porcupine trip until next weekend. Had some friends that fished Mantua today and they said the best bite was after noon.[fishin]

Fished with a buddy from about 1 p.m. to nearly dark on the east side. Had success in spurts all afternoon. Mostly bluegills, a few perch, few trout and 2 good sized bass. Fished with a ratfiki and a wax worm.

Made it to Mantua and set up about 10 this morning maybe 10 to 11 feet of water. Set the camera up and saw grundels of fish all small, gills, perch, bass & trout. Stayed until 2 P.M. most people had left by then. Did run into a crew from a company I use to work, several of the guys were doing quit well on the bluegills from about snuff box size to maybe 6 or 7 inches.I ended up catching several small bass and couple small gills before I left. Next trip is Porcupine this next Sat. with a couple BFT'RS.[fishin]

I went up around noon with my daughter and nephew, glad they enjoyed the short sled ride. I got 2 bites and missed em both. Saw lots an the finder and they would come up to look, but no combination of jigging or baits worked for me.
