headed to the FL any recent reports on fishing and ice conditions would be great. hope the weather stays cold haven't had much time to go this year and want to get out lots more.

Did get a few hours on newton yesterday and caught a few decent crappie pretty slow for the most part. Lots of people and great weather it was good. Ice is still 12" plus and edges seem pretty solid. Should be able to hit it for a while. [Wink]

A buddy of mine went up to Fishlake yesterday and said the ice was still good and the splake fishing was holding up well too.

find 50 to 70 feet of water put a 4 inch tube jig on tip it with chub or sucker.. and bounce it on the bottom... as to where.. anywhere on the lake you find 50 to 70 feet of water.. i have done better on the west side than the east side..

Thanks for the reports and the advise is great any certain color on the tube jigs? We are leaving Friday and coming back on Monday hopefully we can get on some nice fish in that amount of time. Will post some pics when we get either way. Hopefully I will win the big fish prize this year.
