The only thing i heard was slow. That info came from a friend who fished it last weekend. But he said some people who had fished it the day before him caught some fish. But it did not sound like it was on fire.

Ice is 14" & in pretty good shape. Edges are a little soft in the afternoon, but not bad. Got checked by the Fish & Game on Saturday, and they said they had already issued 23 citations since January 1. Boy, I have a hard time understanding people. Do people think they are going to go there and pull in 20 inchers left & right. I have pulled close to 130 fish out of there so far this year, and not a one of them has been over 20". I'm not complaining, 18-19" fish are a ball to catch & release. The fish cops have written tickets for bait fishermen and for also keeping fish under 20". They've only caught 23. How many do you think have gotten away with it? They encouraged me to write license numbers down or any other information, and call the number on the back of your license to report them. The bad thing about Daniels is you have no cell service. Lets help them patrol it and get all the cheaters busted. Whats Sad is you don't need to cheat. It's easy to catch fish on artificials & barbless hooks. If you feel like you need to cheat at Daniels, please go somewhere else where it is legal to use bait & keep any fish up to your limit. I have a feeling if this kind of behavior continues, we will lose Daniels as an ice fishing destination. I for one, do not want to see this happen.
