My own Utah weather forecast:
Hi and welcome to the KSL Channel 5 Utah weather service.
Today expect an awful amount of sunshine highs near 65, however during the afternoon expect mild partly cloudy conditions with a mild cold front as temperatures could drop below or above freezing, and expect some snow showers along the north-east Wasatch Front from Ogden to Provo. But the snow storm has already stopped in Elko Nevada so we are not
worried about it reaching the Wasatch Mountains anytime soon.
But despite the downfall don't be afraid to do some outdoor activity as this very mild weather pattern crosses our state.
But look for the snow to fall along the mountain benches 4 to 6 inches of new snow with wind gust up to 40 mph. The valleys are expected to get rain changing to snow or snow changing to rain, depending on the time of day.
The ski resorts should be receiving up to 10 inches of fresh powder snow, if the cold front reaches the north-east Wasatch by late afternoon. However as mentioned Elko Nevada weather reporting station has reported that the cold front has changed to a warm front so rain is expected along the Wasatch Mountains by early morning or late afternoon. With a gradual decrease in temperature, by late afternoon expect freezing conditions as the warm front crosses the Salt Lake Valley.
The warm front will reach the area of 4400 South and Redwood Road while a possible mild cold front will reach the Murray State
Street area by early morning. So expect rain in West Valley City and snow and or rain in Murray or both depending on which
front reaches the specified area of changing weather concern.
The weather pattern will change tomorrow as the mild cold front leaves the state. So don't let todays changing weather pattern spoil your day spent outdoors.
Tomorrow expect sunny skies with a high near 67. Rain possible early morning, but as mentioned go do your camping or fishing early in the day as this tiny harmless storm will be gone by 11 AM....[fishin]
