[cool] Well finally made it back to Newton got there about 8:00 and it was - 6 degrees, just right. Any way sent a text to all my fishing buddys to head my way,of course the first to arrive was my Wife and 6 year old daughter both veterens at Newton. My buddy showed up and we started drilling more holes ice was 16 - 18 inches thick about that time I noticed one of the poles had a bite and told my daughter it was her turn to catch a fish, she was on it soon had the hook set and started reeling pretty soon i hear her drag going and looked over and she was reeling but the line had got caught on her glove so I unhooked it and looked at her pole and told her it looked like we lost the fish because of the slack in the line then she handed me the pole and everything went wild from there I imediately relized the fish was still on but she said no she was done fishing and for me to reel it in. 35-45 minutes later with lots of encouragement from everyone this was the results. Yes we weighed it but I dont think the scale was right. 12 Lbs. yes I had a tape measure did we measure it ? Nope forgot in all the excitment and because of the length of fighting it we wanted to get the fish back into the water fast. We where both worn out. we think it was around 37 in. caught it on 4 lb. test line with a 2lb. leader. Anyway my daughter and I will always remember this fish for alot of yers to come. The blood on the fish is mine not the fishes. yes i can always look at the scars to remind of that day and my daughter and that fish.

Nice toothy bugger, and a great story! cool report thanks. I noticed the hand auger in one of your pics, must have been a long 18 inches.

[Smile] Wow that's awesome great pictures and thanks for the report. 4lb. test that's really great have you ever checked in to maybe a line class record for tigermuskies.

That is a great fish I sure would like to catch one that big someday. I have only caught one it was on 4lb. test fishing for crappies at pineview and it was 26" far from the size you caught but sure made a great day for me. Glad to see the little ones getting in on the action to I also liked the bloody hand pictures to.
