My new gun should arrive in a couple of weeks and I’d like to get my Concealed Carry Permit. I’m looking for advice on where to take the class. I’m sure I can get some good suggestions from people here that have their favorite places. Obviously I want quality instruction at a reasonable price.
I live in the south end of the SL valley.

You should check impact guns.

I went to "get some guns and ammo" on State st.
Very good instructor.
Some places, you are not required to shoot, at this class you will have to shoot both a revolver and semi-auto.

I took mine at sportsmans warehouse in midvale, pretty slick.

It would be worth the drive to Impact Guns off 1900 in Roy. The instructor i had was great and made it fun but still serious enough to get the point across. His wife usually helps him too so if you are taking your wife/g-friend, it makes them feel comfortable. All the prints, pics, and everything is done right there.[cool]

I took mine is slc but from what I've heard Impact is the way to go. Had I known that 4 years ago I would have saved myself the drive from Ogden.

Actually I think they just passed a law that you can now carry in all national parks.A friend of mine called me the day the law passed. Only because he carries on a regular basis.

I took my class from Eric Lichtenberg at Lichtenberg Research. I heard his add on the radio for the class for $45. He has a small shop in So Salt Lake. It was a small group so lots of personal interaction. I thought he did a good job. No shooting portion - but that's OK because I hadn't had my new gun delivered yet.

I've got it now (H&K USP Compact 40 S&W) and went out and shot it at Get Some today ----- I LIKE IT!!!!
I like it alot.

A federal judge just overturned this. You CANNOT carry in a national park.
