It is that time of year, when the local bass clubs and State Federations are gearing up for the up-coming fishing season. If you have ever thought that fishing in Bass Tournament's sounded like fun, well this is your chance. Bass tournaments are held thoughout Idaho starting as early as March and running through September. These tournaments are all catch and release, and promote catch and release and conservation to those who particpate. You do not have to own a Bass Boat or a lot of equipment to get started. Let me know if you would like more information.

This is the time to get lined up with a bass club.

Our Gem State Hookers Bass Club is always looking for new members. Boaters and Non-boaters. It is a good way to learn how to fish for bass. We fish the SW Idaho and Oregon waters.

If interested PM me or check my profile with my email address.

Could a person use a pontoon at any of the tourneys and if catch and release how does that work?

I saw someone asked about pontoon. How about float tube? I have never seen a club that allowed float tubes in a tournament

Let me know,
Thanx, Rob

I'm interested, is there many that go on around SE Idaho? If you could get me some info that would be great. Thanks, Jake.

There are some clubs that fish only from pontoons and float tubes, however I don't know of any in Idaho. If a motivated person wanted to form a club I'm sure it could be done. You may need to google it, but I think there is a club in California, Possibly called the Bellyboat bassers, I'm sure they would help someone out with the logistics of a float tube club. If you just want to fish, most of our clubs would welcome some non-boater members. All you would need to do is show up with your fish'in stuff.
