I just drove by and at 2:30 and it looked like a city around the Island. lots of peaple fishin looked pretty good to me

A friend of mine called me today about noon from Deer Creek, and he said they were on 6-7 inches. That was in the State Park area, which in my experience is the last part of DC to freeze. You should be alright.

I don't know how they were on Sunday, but they were sure soft getting off after the warm day yesterday. Were I went (West side) was about 4-5" good ice with 2-3" slushy ice and anywhere from 1"-6" of snow on top of that. I stepped through up to my knees getting off the ice, and stepped the other leg in a hole that was covered by snow on the ice. Went home with two wet legs and 2 12" bows to show for a long day of fishing-overall a pretty great day!
