NEW YORK, New York-VERSUS Country today announced details for Sprint's Big Fish Madness, an online sweepstakes and fantasy tournament that will determine the world's toughest saltwater gamefish. Beginning today viewers can log on to www.VERSUS.com/bigfishmadness to enter the sweepstakes and to fill out a bracket with their selections for what they think is the fiercest fish in the water. The third annual installment of Big Fish Madness is on the quest to name the fish that will top the tarpon and blue marlin, the winners from the previous two years, to become the fiercest saltwater fish in existence and to capture the title of 2009 Big Fish Madness champion.
To coincide with the sweepstakes, VERSUS Country will air four nights of the best fishing shows on television beginning Thursday, March 5, at 6 p.m. ET. Huntley Ritter, the host of The Huntley Way, will take viewers through each match-up, round-by-round, until the field of 16 is narrowed down and only one fish remains. Throughout Big Fish Madness, viewers can log on towww.VERSUS.com/bigfishmadness to see how their bracket is faring in the competition.
The winner of the sweepstakes will be treated to a five-day fishing expedition for two in the heart of Upstate New York which is a region known for having some of the best trout, salmon and bass fishing in the country. The trip is sponsored by Christmas and Associates.
