Well here's the post. It was breeze to say the least and a bit nippy. I tried some chem warmers on my feet but should have had the on the inner socks and not the outer or my fins are to tight.

I was blessed with 2 bows and caught on my own self tied pattern. That was it, plenty of marks on the screen but no more takers.

Fished from 9:30 till 12:30, water was 36.5 and Norton Bay & Big Sand Bay were open (no Ice), there was ice from Norton to Goose Island and Grey's still had ice, you could cast about 30'.from shore

Bank fisherman had some action at Norton saw 3 nice bows and Big Sandy had about 4 rigs.

Her's the pics

Nice report and pictures. Probably less than 2 weeks for all the ice to be off ? Want to hit it with the boat when its safe.

Looks like you had a good time in spite of the cold. Nice looking fly what do you call it? Is that a walleye fly?

I noticed you use a tote lid for a table/stripping apron. You just lay that on your lap or......?????

I'm trying to figure out what to do on my toon rig that I am working on.

I will put together a toon mod on the float tube section again. I have made some changes from my fist mods.

Yes it is a lid, I follow the expert advice in pvc & float tube/toon mods from the illustrious tubedude. I liked this lid since it need very little done to it to clean it up to use as a stripping apron but also I will be adding some magnetic strips (like what they use for vehicle magnetic signs) to help hold lures hooks etc. will I am adjusting or changing them, I also may add a small drink cup hole wl drink cup, of course, for broken worm pieces or other things like split shot or whatever. The sewing tape is so I can make sure the bass are legal and to show how big that super size bluegill is when I catch him[Wink] Ther are legs on the front for support and short bugies with clip to hold it in place.

I try to make all the mods usable and durable. Boy is that a chore[:/] Today one of my quick hook cariberners came loose and my toon slide off the trailer, The our Lord it was while I was coming out of grey's landing and not the highway, also when I got home 2 of my rod holder inserts had vibrated out (I have differnt ones for fly rods and spinning) might need to rethink that.

Nyways I will get some pics and post them this next week.

Forgot to answer about the fly I used. I was looking on the net for crafish patterns and this Fore & Aft came up and so I copied it with what I had in material and just tried to figure out how to tie it since there weren't any instructions other than the material used[fishin]
