Made it out today finally. Hadn't been fishing 15 minutes or so and seen a fellow that look familar easin along in a boat. I could tell he was crappie fishing same as me and one of my boys. i didn't hear no water splashin, so didn't figure he was doing much good....lol As he got closer, I seen a name on the motor.....yep, u guessed it DRUM KING Smile

I been wantin to meet this fella for some time after reading his post for ever and again. We talked a bit and he was gracious enough to give me some secret weapons to put the crappie in the freezer Smile Sure was good to finally meet some one that I think a lot of and I am sure he is a great a person even after you been around him for while........lol

My son and I wound up bringing 17 keepers home, so DK beat us anyway.......lol I know he only had 9 but there was just one of him. Our biggest bite came between 2:30-3:30 with the best bait being a Bobby Garland in blk/chartruse but we caught them on many different ones and colors also. They just seem to prefer that over any other.
Like DK said, the count was 6-8 on a 1/32 ounce head.

Tomorrow should be another good day as it will a little warmer I think. Guess I best go again cause with 4 boys eatin and of course me, it takes quite a few. We do have 1 almost full gallon in the freeze tho and I reckon mama will want me to cook then, since I helped catch um and clean um. Funny how that works out. emoHungry

DK, I sure was happy to finally meet you buddy. Look forward to learning more secrets from you soon. Thanks for the conversation. emoThanks

jim
