[fishin] hit the local pond on Sunday morning for some good old fly fishing finally after all this months, and the action was great. I probably missed about 20 hits and i had a couple of fish break my lines, lost about 6 flies but i was just using a two pound litter and me still being new at this doesn't really help either. Here is a couple of pics of some of the fish that i did manage to catch.

let me know when your going to be there may-be i can tag a long and learn from the pro...I was using an indicator on a floating line. Is that how you fish the pond or do you use streamers and a sinking line?

A little of both. Will do.
But, I don't know about the PRO thing...I am still learning.[Wink]

I love fly fishing still water. I never use a floating line. I always throw some sort of streamer. Even when fish are rising. Just throw a streamer, with sinking line, but don't let it sink at all. We know the fish are feeding near the surface when they are rising, so pull a streamer through their zone and you will hook up quite often. When they are not rising, let the fly sink down to their zone. Hint...if you have been to any of the small lakes in the uintas in the evenings, you see a LOT of fish rising. Get in a float tube and throw streamers just under the surface. It is FAST action. But no big fish. That is just my $.02

Are the big albinos still in there? I was down there a couple weeks ago just to burn an hour and a half and there were some MONSTER albinos swimming around. I manages to get two to eat. I lost the biggest one and the other one i broke off trying to grab the fatty. The SMALLER one I broke off was right next to me and was around 25" I couldn't believe the size of some of them big albinos. They looked like carp. I just fished tandem chironomids 3 1/2 feet under and indicator.

I saw ONE. But, according to a long time Taxidermist, they are PALOMINO's not Albinos....no red eyes but more yellow. HECK! I don't know, up till he mention it I have never heard of them but looking them up they very well could be.
