A couple of friends and I hit the tailrace of Wilson this morning hoping for some early spring striped barse...the bite was early, fast and short lived. We managed to boat 5 and lost 2 on jigs before the drums moved in and took over. Since it was early in the day, we tried Wheeler dam for a couple of hours and caught another salt and a good smallie(and a bunch more drums emoRolleyes ). Water temp was 48, the bait is starting to show up....and the pelicans were groovy.
